When is it a good fit?
Consider aluminum wrapping when you want a crisp roofline and less exposed painted wood. The board underneath must be sound: wrapping is a finishing step, not a repair for rotten fascia.
How does it compare?
Trim coil is a thin formed cover over a supporting board. Fiber cement fascia is a thicker trim-board product. Aluminum favors a wrapped, factory-finished appearance; fiber cement favors a solid painted-board look. Aluminum can dent, so the finished surface still needs care.
Care & installation considerations
Inspect seams, edges and any impact damage. Water must drain correctly at the roof edge; a cover does not fix leaks or damaged wood behind it. Clean according to the finish manufacturer’s guidance.
